Experiments in Web Functionality

Colored Horse Studios Graphic Design
In our web design work we are often asked to research and develop custom web functionality for various projects. Following are some highlights of our explorations
Feature: The Embedded Font
Graphic Designers have always wanted the flexibility to use fonts on the web that are outside of the small array of web-accessible options (Times Roman, Helvetica, Arial, Georgia, Palatino…). While truly embedded fonts are a thing of the future (and are being solved somewhat by the PDF document format and Flash) Microsoft’s Weft technology has begun to explore embedding a custom font in a web page. The W3C, which approves all changes to html, has not yet approved Weft for inclusion into general use, therefore the only browser to support Weft is Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Here’s our experiment so you can see for yourself: The Embedded Font
